EUROPEADA

EUROPEADA is the European Football Championship of the autochthonous national minorities of Europe. With the serbske mustwo, the Sorbs are represented both athletically and culturally, sending a strong message for diversity, fair play and solidarity. The tournament brings together people and cultures – far beyond football.

EUROPEADA is the European Football Championship of Europe’s autochthonous national minorities. Organised every four years by FUEN together with a host minority, it is not only a sporting highlight but also a lively platform for cultural exchange. Since its inception in 2008 among the Rhaeto-Romans, the Sorbs have taken part with their representative team, the Serbske mustwo. Other host regions have included Graubünden in Switzerland, South Tyrol and Carinthia | Koroška. In 2012, the championship was held in Lusatia, and the experiences of that event still resonate strongly here today.

In 2024, EUROPEADA took place in North and South Schleswig. The Sorbs participated with a men’s team and, as in 2016, also with a women’s team under the name Serbske mustwo.
