With the Domowina Prize, the Domowina – Federation of Lusatian Sorbs honours outstanding voluntary commitment to the Sorbian language and culture.
Auch in diesem Jahr wollen wir wieder Personen auszeichnen, die sich ehrenamtlich für den Erhalt unserer sorbischen Sprache und die Pflege der sorbischen Kultur auf besondere Weise engagieren.
Bis zum 30. Juni 2026 können Sie dem Auszeichnungsausschuss Vorschläge für die Auszeichnung mit dem Domowina-Preis, dem Domowina-Nachwuchspreis und mit dem Ehrenabzeichen der Domowina einreichen und zwar an folgende Adresse:

Each year, the Domowina honours individuals who dedicate their heart, time and conviction to the Sorbian people. Their commitment keeps language, culture and communal life vibrant – in schools and associations, on stages, in the media and in everyday interaction.
Three distinctions are awarded: the “Myto Domowiny” (Domowina Prize) for special services to the Sorbian people, the “Myto za dorost” (Domowina Young Talent Prize) in recognition of committed young people, and the Badge of Honour of the Domowina for outstanding voluntary service.
Through these awards, the Domowina makes a visible statement of recognition and gratitude – for all those who help ensure that the Sorbian language and culture remain a natural and integral part of our society in the future.
