WITAJĆE! WELCOME!

The Sorbian Artists’ Association (Sorbischer Künstlerbund e.V., SKB) represents and promotes the interests of its members in the fields of Sorbian visual arts, music, literature, theatre, journalism, film and new media. Under the umbrella of the SKB, artists, journalists, as well as friends and supporters connected to Sorbian art are brought together.

The aim of the association is to act as a partner within society in disseminating Sorbian culture – in particular the fine arts – and in advancing the cultural policy interests of its members.

A wide range of projects are organised and coordinated under the SKB’s auspices, including readings, concerts, exhibitions and workshops. In addition, the association continuously seeks to expand international relations, to foster a productive and cooperative Sorbian-German relationship, and to enhance the public reputation of its members’ work within cultural discourse.

The SKB currently has around 80 members.
