Sorbian Economic Award

With the Sorbian Economic Awards, the Domowina – Federation of Lusatian Sorbs recognises companies and service providers that are particularly committed to preserving and strengthening the Sorbian language and culture. The award honours dedication to bilingualism, regional identity and cultural diversity in Lusatia.

In 2025, the Domowina – Federation of Lusatian Sorbs awarded the “Sorbian Economic Awards” for the first time. Through this award, we aim to promote and recognise a range of Sorbian initiatives and services. At a time when cultural identity and regional diversity are gaining increasing importance, we wish to support companies and service providers that are committed to preserving and strengthening the Sorbian language and culture.

The criteria for the competition place particular emphasis on two central aspects: the promotion of bilingualism and the provision of services and products that are closely connected to the Sorbian people.
