Committees of the Federal Executive Board

The committees of the Domowina support the Federal Executive Board through specialist expertise and voluntary engagement. Within these bodies, members and experts work together on key areas such as culture, politics, law, finance and the economy. They provide advice, conduct reviews and develop recommendations in order to strengthen the work of the Domowina and to represent the interests of the Sorbian people effectively.

Every October, Domowina confers honours in three categories: the Domowina Prize (the highest distinction), the Domowina Youth Prize (for youth and emerging talent), and the Badge of Honour. All Domowina associations and individual members may submit nominations. The Awards Committee decides on the recipients. It is made up of nine members, nominated by Domowina associations and elected by the Federal Executive Board. Its work is coordinated with the support of the Officer for Culture and International Relations.

The work of the Committee is supported and coordinated by Clemens Škoda | Schkoda, Policy Officer for Culture and International Affairs.
