Monuments Committee

The Monuments Committee at Maćica Serbska was a body in which projects relating to Sorbian monuments were presented, discussed and approved. The committee made recommendations to the Foundation for the Sorbian People regarding which projects should receive funding from its Monuments Fund. This included both the restoration of existing monuments and the erection of new ones.

Founded in 2001, the committee brought together representatives from Upper and Lower Lusatia. In its final phase, the committee was chaired by Trudla Malinkowa, with Clemens Škoda serving as Secretary. John Petrik participated in the committee as a representative of the Foundation for the Sorbian People.

In April 2023, the Monuments Committee was dissolved (see the report for 2022/23).
