In 2023, Peter Schurman was awarded the Domowina Prize in recognition of his long-standing and continuous voluntary commitment to the benefit of the Sorbs, particularly within Maćica Serbska. He has been Chair of the Lower Sorbian section, Maśica Serbska, since 2006.

In 2023, Jurij Wuschansky was awarded the Ćišinski Prize in recognition of his wide-ranging work in the fields of culture and the arts, as well as for his continuous cultivation of relations with Slavic neighbouring peoples. The laudation was delivered by Anja Pohontsch, Chair of Maćica Serbska. Jurij Łušćanski served as Chair of Maćica Serbska from 2016 to 2020.
