Maćica Serbska

Today, Maćica Serbska sees itself as a vibrant platform for scholarly and cultural exchange. It brings together researchers, cultural practitioners and interested members of the public to discuss current issues relating to the Sorbian language, history and culture.

Alongside conferences and publications, it places particular emphasis on supporting early-career researchers and on networking with institutions in Germany and abroad. Through its sections and commissions, Maćica Serbska works to further develop Sorbian studies and thus makes an important contribution to the preservation and visibility of Sorbian scholarship in Lusatia and beyond.
