The Folklore and Museum Studies Section of Maćica Serbska sees itself as a forum for research as well as for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of Sorbian folklore and museum studies. It aims to build a network of interested individuals and enthusiasts in this area and organises the annual meeting of the Working Group of Lusatian Museums and Museum Institutions. Activities include joint museum visits and tours of local heritage rooms in the Sorbian settlement area with a Sorbian focus, lectures on current research and local history, and the sharing of museum-specific expertise.
